Whispers In The Wind
Published on Feb 2, 2015 VoltageCtrlRtv
"This composition is inspired by chaos theory and the butterfly effect... the butterfly effect is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state.
I enjoy composing on the modular because the smallest change you introduce to the music system known as a synth patch can drastically transform your whole composition into a new and unexpected experience.
The song title is symbolic, the whispers symbolizes the frequencies we all generate that isn't heard by the ear but adds to the collective conscosness we are all contributing to, the wind represents the patch cables, patch cables carry electricity and frequencies to give life to the synthesizer modules, in a similar manner wind moves life sustaining air into our lungs, we literally ingest each others essence every moment we take a breath we are connected, we are one.
This composition was created with my modular synth, Arturia micro brute and Elektron machinedrum, recorded live in one take at the Akashic Siddhi Sound Temple LA."
