Scaling the modular - Sequetron 14.00 force-to-scale/chord/note demo

Published on Jun 18, 2015 Phil Tipping

"Demo of new forcing functions in v14.00 using modular synth for sounds. The 12 functions can be mapped anywhere for live playing of specific notes from the forced set of notes, regardless of the state of other recorded seqs. Conventional forcing is still available whereby keys are forced to their nearest valid note but this alternative avoids adjacent keys (depending on scale/chord) sounding the same pitch.
Input device is Korg i30 but anything which can transmit MIDI will do, and output device is Studio-22 from http://synthesizers.com but anything which can receive MIDI will do. Can also use self-contained keyboards as long as you turn off 'local control'.
