Voice Of The Monolith

Published on May 13, 2016 John L Rice

"This is one of my long "background" pieces where there isn't a lot of structure or development, just a hopefully interesting soundscape to have on while you are doing something else? :-)

You might think parts of this sound reminiscent to parts of György Ligeti's piece titled Requiem that was used in the movie 2001 A Space Odyssey and I agree, hence the title! ;-)

The sound source for the first 14 minutes or so is all Mellotron M4000D controlled by Moon Modular sequencing gear and processed with heavy amounts of Strymon BigSky reverb. The last minute has a bit of the sequence played by Synth Tech audio modules."
