"The Prophet 2002 is a rack-mount MIDI module version of the famed Prophet 2000 keyboard. It features 8-voice polyphony, a 12-bit ADC/DAC, 8 analog Curtis Voltage Controlled Resonant Filters (VCFs), 8 analog ADSR's, up to 30 seconds of sample memory, and 3.5" floppy disk drive for storage. The Prophet 2002 is a VERY rare piece of gear, and extremely hard to find in this excellent working and cosmetic condition.
The Sequential Circuits Prophet 2002 Digital Rack-mount Sampler is an awesome example of Dave Smith's early 80's design team. They had the skills to cram a TON of features and power elegantly into a small package.
This unit has been serviced and cleaned, and works perfectly, and sounds fantastic!
All the potentiometer knobs have been serviced, cleaned and lubricated.
The floppy disk drive has been cleaned, and fully tested to read and write reliably.
The ADC has been bias adjusted to ensure no DC offset when sampling. The inputs and outputs have all been cleaned and fully tested. The internal PSU capacitors have passed inspection.
This machine is 100% functional
This unit recently came to us from a studio storage facility, where it spent the last 20+ years boxed up awaiting the 12-bit sampler renaissance."
