Bastl Softpop on Drums - Freakiest Noise Box Ever?

Published on Apr 3, 2018 Kablehead

"Finally i got my hands on the wonderfully crazy Softpop from Casper Electronics & Bastl Instruments.
Before i got it i wondered how it would sound on drums. There are short demos of it showing that but i wanted to hear more.
So this is my first video with the Softpop filtering and crunching up some drums from the Volca Beats.

The Softpop can be used as a standalone synthesizer/noise box or as an effect unit processing external signals.
It has a lot of character with a mind of it's own. The filter is very liquid sounding and the circuit can produce crunchy distortion too.
With the patchbay you have a lot of possibilities to route the signal in different directions.

This is definitely one of my favorite sound boxes. It's so easy to play with it and explore all kinds of sounds.
