Nord Modular vs. Octatrack generative madness

"DISCLAIMER: This video is intentionally more about long-form sound design and sample manipulation than lush melodic content.

I created a totally chaotic, generative Nord Modular G1 patch with a lot of cross-modulation and unorthodox synthesis/sequencing. It borders on noise, but there are some tonal elements as well. Basically some really good sampling material for the Octatrack.

I used several tracks on the OT to mangle various parts of the incoming audio, using both normal and one-shot trigs on a few track recorders. I've had the OT for over a year now and am still learning new things to do with it.. and still fumbling a bit, as you may notice!

Audio source is entirely synthesis from the Nord. Octatrack is sampling and providing effects. No external audio processing, apart from a light limiter.

No editing; this is a pretty self-indulgent video but it might be good to skip through and find some interesting parts. I'll probably edit this down and use it as the base for another track at some point.
