"I found a box of tapes I made of class lectures way back in the 90s when I was a philosophy student. They are from a History of Philosophy class that was taught by the late great Professor James Rachels. Rachels was a famous philosopher in his own right and for each meeting of this class, he lectured on a different key figure in the history of philosophy. This piece has excerpts from his lecture on the ideas of G.E. Moore. By coincidence, the talk relates to thoughts on necessary and contingent identity by way of analogy to the Morning Star.
