"If you are looking for one of these, then you will know much more about it than I do. As I understand it, Nyle Steiner is somewhat of a pioneer in the design of electronic synthesizers for valve instruments suitable for professional use. (You can google the "Nyle Steiner Homepage" or EVI instruments at "Synthmuseum" for more information.) We bought this in 1998, just after Nyle parted company with AKAI, as a birthday present for our father, a retired professional jazz trumpeter. He was not interested in learning about synthesizers, so it was set aside and never used. My brother had purchased the AKAI 3020 electronic wind instrument (EWI) and the 3020m analog sound module new and shipped them to Nyle in Los Angeles to convert the wind instrument to a valve instrument (EVI). This sales includes the Steiner EVI and the Akai sound module, along with all cables and manuals. They will be shipped in the original AKAI boxes."
