LM-2 Replacement Parts - LinnDrum PCB's & Assemblies From Abstrakt Instruments

Some initial details via the Abstrakt Instruments Kickstarter:

"This is your chance to help fund and procure parts for the iconic LinnDrum (LM-2) Drum Machine. This is the second in our series of meticulously designed replacement parts projects for vintage synths & drum machines. This project follows up the completion of the Oberheim OB-X Parts Project [posted here]. We've established a low funding goal of $4k to cover the cost of the custom parts to get the project off the ground.

Before getting into the details of the actual parts we'll clearly state what is being offered. We are offering bare PCB's and PCB Assemblies for the LinnDrum (LM-2) Drum Machine:

LinnDrum MXR PCB Assembly
LinnDrum CPU Board PCB
LinnDrum CPU Board PCB Assembly
LinnDrum CPU Board PCB Assembly (w/o switches)
LinnDrum 5VSR PCB Assembly

LinnDrum MXR PCB Assembly

Our LinnDrum MXR PCB Assembly is interchangeable with original parts. This is the control section that houses all of the potentiometer controls (everything except the tempo control). You want this assembly if you've got an old LinnDrum with dirty scratchy pots or other damaged parts. Simply swap out the old part by removing five retaining nuts. No tech experience required. The layout is the same as the original parts with the following improvements:

ENIG Gold PCB surface finish.
Double-sided black soldermask
Taiwan Alpha Potentiometers (slide pots includes dust guards!)
Includes 40-pin IDC DIP connector for plug and plug
Schematics available for reference.
Please note the prototype PCB Assembly in the pic below shows a different footprint for the smaller 20mm slide pots versus the original LinnDrum parts. Production parts will use the same type of 20mm slide pots as the original machine. Also, all production slide pots include dust guards.

We are not offering the MXR PCB-only. It is approximately the same cost to simply buy the assembly than it would be to buy the PCB + our customs pots (or other 3rd party pots)."
