"Ever wanted a PPG in a compact size and affordable price? Well this is for you. MicroWave is a direct successor of PPG Wave 2.2. It was made by Waldorf right after they took over PPG--thus it uses the identical wavetable technology which was used in PPG Wave 2.2. It is one hell of a synth!...

MicroWave Rev. A is worth more than other MicroWaves because it uses the Curtis 3389 chip, and a fantastic analog filter. All of the other MicroWaves are full-digital synth (which doesn't mean they are bad synths of course), as opposed to Rev. A which is a hybrid synth."
