I don't even select the auction links any more. When I see something I like I know the number is only going to make my heart hurt. MatrixSynth has become a torture page.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the club. :) If you don't need the extra voices, a 10 voice is the way to go. They are usually listed for much less. If you are on a super tight budget, Audiothingies Micromonsta is worth checking out. Wavetables like the XT, and some extensive modulations capabilities. It sounds fantastic and editing is super intuitive. Blofelds are also nice and unlike the XT you can have a separate wavetable per oscillator. Always research and look for deals. But yeah, a 30 voice XT would be nice.
DeleteWaldorf Nave is a worthwhile substitute. Alongside its brother Largo, Lector, and PPG, I can put aside thoughts of hardware nirvana.
