I had one of these in the late 1980's when they could be had for a song. The fact that the speculative value is more than 4 times original price speaks to nostalgia and fountain of youth. The 3100 is a worthwhile study in quasi-early polyphonic technology. Considering the refurbishment efforts, such an instrument might best be used in a premium vintage studio. In the end, the only winner will be the tax collector as they usually have their hand out for a piece of the transaction.
