Waldorf Nave & Eurorack Jam (iOS/iPad + Analog Modular Synth)

Published on Aug 25, 2019 DreamsOfWires

"A rough session revisiting an old recording I made using Nave and Magellan on the iPad a couple of years ago, this time using the AJH MiniMod system for real analog synth sounds.

The original Magellan patch used 6 VCO's and 4 filters in parallel (audio sent to 4 different filters). This Eurorack version uses 3 VCO's and 2 filters in series (output of one filter into the next), although the second is a dual filter (AJH Gemini - Dual mode) and is being used to create a stereo effect/movement.

The output of the Transistor Ladder Filter is sent to the Gemini, and I'm using it's Freq (cutoff) to find sweet spots.

I created the Nave patch myself, and it uses the built-in arpeggiator. Midisteps (iPad app) is sending note information to Nave's arp, and patterns to the Expert Sleepers FH-2, which is sending CV/Gate to the modular synth.

Recorded initially in AUM on an iPad, then exported to Reaper DAW for delay, reverb, lose mixing.
