The wood paneling, silk screen and keys are in excellent shape. Badges look clean and no major dings or dents to the case.
Internally: The original transformer has been replaced with a much more efficient and cooler (temp) toroidal transformer. The power supply section has been completely rebuilt with new regs and the +/- 5v , +/-15, +12v voltage supplies are incredibly stable.
All tantalum caps have been replaced along with all other caps connected to power rails or the CPU board.
Almost all chips have been replaced and socketed with modern equivalents, of course with the exception of the wonderful analog SSM chips and anything along the audio signal path. (EPROMs, clock, Z80 CPU, op amps, gates, etc.. all replaced!!) The large ribbon cable that connects the CPU board to the voice board can get wonky over time. This has also been replaced.
This overhauled vintage Rev2 is rock solid and has basically been future-proofed for the next 40 years!
All key bushings have been replaced and have good action. This unit has the cassette board installed and working. It is very easy to load/unload patches with a 1/4" audio cable. All pots have been cleaned and have smooth action.
Voices and filters have been tuned / calibrated and sound excellent. I would prefer a local pickup over shipping but I will also ship with a case for protection and have it professionally packaged if you choose that option."
