#Synthuary2020 / #Jamuary2020 - 01

"The idea with Jamuary is to get going with what you have, and to help get comfortable sharing and performing little jams, and to get to know each other and appreciate what everyone is doing in the electronic music independent scene. Post a little music snippet every day of jamuary, or for as many of the days that you have the energy to. Browse the hashtag and get inspired. Get to know musicians you had never heard about, and perhaps even make some friends along the way."

#jamuary2020 Day 1 - Elektron Digitone

"It's Jaaaaaaamuuuuaaarrryyyy!

I've got no idea how well I'm going to manage this year with a one year-old toddler in the house, but if nothing else I've managed to jump in on day 1.

This jam kinda has 2 or 3 "acts", traversing two very different musical ideas. Maybe in a different month I might have taken the time to develop them into two different tracks, but by golly we're working to a schedule this month, so here we are!"

Performing with feedback // #JAMUARY2020 DAY 1

Published on Jan 1, 2020 DivKidVideo

"This January I figured I wanted to blast off some cobwebs of last year and start a creatively satisfying project that sees me complete something new each day. The idea of #JAMUARY is to jam each day, this could be a short melodic idea, making some beats, exploring new FX and textures or a complete piece. For me this will likely be a quick piece created and uploaded each day as January will be a busy month for me. But I'm keen to push myself into creating something new every day of January to kick off the year ... this will be alongside normal work, not in place of anything else ... so wish me luck! Join in with #JAMUARY2020 using the hashtag with audio/video wherever you post it. More to follow and I might make a video talking about this soon.

This piece is exploring the careful balance of performing with feedback. It's dark drones that shift across the stereo field and audible spectrum aiming to find balance and new tones in instability. It's inform a full piece of music I'll realise and release this year as well as formed some other videos (to be completed and fully finished for the music release)."

Published on Jan 3, 2020 Flak Cannon

"Theme song for the video game Oscillator Cop II based on the early 1990's TV series of the same name. If such a video game or TV show does not exist they should. If they do exist, they shouldn't.

My first entry in #Jamuary2020.

STARRING:
Synths - Roland SC55-MKI
Sequencing and Drums - Novation Circuit
Additional effects on synths by Valhalla Shimmer."
