"Here is an Oberheim DPX-1 in good used condition. This unit is a digital sample player. It was designed to play disks from the Ensoniq Mirage, E-mu Emulator II, Sequential Prophet 2000, and Prophet 2002. Cosmetically, it is in very nice condition. It has some minor nicks, dings, and scratches that don't affect functionality. This unit includes the power cord, a copy (not original) of the owner's manual, and the cardboard disk drive protector for the 5.25" floppy drive. It does not include any sound disks or other accessories.This DPX-1 has been partially tested. The unit powers up and all of the buttons appear to function. It responds to MIDI, and I was able to load sounds from an Ensoniq Mirage disk that I had available. The internal "test" sound will also play via MIDI. I was not able to test disks for any of the other instruments that the unit is designed to play because I don't have them. There is a high-pitched hum from the power supply that does not appear to come through the audio output. The light for each of the disk drives illuminates when the drive is accessed."
