    First, there is *NO* "FET" in the internal clock circuit. That's a unijunction transistor. Not even close to a FET.

    Next, your understanding of a tantalum cap's virtues and sins are mixed up. A timing situation like this is *exactly* where having a tantalum cap matters. Better do some research before continuing to share false information and degrade the performance of this -and other- classic synths.

    Finally, did you address -or even attempt to address?- what may have *caused* the 301 failure? And probably the VCA issue too. Just sticking new parts in without actually solving the deficiencies leading to the need for service only asks for -unnecesary- future service calls. Owners of classic synths deserve better from paid work.

    For anyone reading this, don't confuse video production bling with accurate knowledge. I wouldn't send my 2600 to this guy.
