The Hampshire Electronics 3340 VCA is a brand new, 100% analogue voltage controller oscillator in the popular Eurorack format.

The oscillator utilises the famous 3340 analogue oscillator integrated circuit popularised by a range of classic analogue synthesizers from the 1980s onwards. The 3340 has recently re-entered production, enabling a new generation of synth enthusiasts to enjoy its stability and sound quality.

The key details of the oscillator are:

All Hampshire Electronics modules come with full and detailed instructions, power cable and screws.

Designed and assembled in England.

The Hampshire Electronics ADSR Envelope Generator is a 100% analogue envelope generator in the popular Eurorack format.

An envelope generator produces a voltage at its output which can be used for modulating a range of other functions, generally a Voltage Controlled Amplifier or Voltage Controlled Filter.

The shape of the envelope generated by the module then controls the volume of output by the VCA or the filter cut-off.

The ADSR envelope has four distinct phases: Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release. Together these phases make up the well-known ADSR shape.

The key details of the ADSR are:

14HP Wide Eurorack module with thin profile (20mm deep from faceplate)

Controls designed and laid-out with performance in mind

Tough yet light composite faceplate

100% analogue circuitry

Short snappy fast attack

Capable of very long attacks, decays and releases, especially when positive feedback is used

Gate CV input and button

Retriggering with trigger CV input and button

A range of attenuated inverted and non-inverted outputs

Voltage control of Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release

Self-feedback from inverted and non-inverted inputs enables the shape of the Attack, Decay and Release phases to be customized

The Hampshire Electronics Ring Modulator Module is a brand new, 100% analogue 4-quadrant ring modulator in the popular Eurorack format.

A ring modulator creates the metallic, robotic sounds so beloved of sci-fi programmes!

Ring modulation is 4-quadrant multiplication of a carrier by a modulation signal. This is similar to the behaviour of a normal VCA, the difference being that negative voltage signals invert the carrier signal and modulate its amplitude also.

The key details of the Ring Modulator module are:

8HP Wide Eurorack module with thin profile (20mm deep from faceplate)

Controls designed and laid-out with performance in mind

100% analogue circuitry

Tough yet light composite faceplate

Input range from -5v to +5v

AC and DC inputs for both carrier (X) and modulator (Y)

AC coupled inputs remove any DC offset

DC coupled inputs can be used for control voltages

Attenuation of carrier (X) and modulator (Y) signals

Wet / Dry control to mix the output with the carrier (X) signal

Diode protected power input

The Hampshire Electronics Quad VCA is a BRAND NEW 100% analogue voltage-controlled amplifier in the popular Eurorack format.

The VCA feature four independent linear amplifiers with attenuation for the CV input and an offset control.

The offset control applies a controllable positive or negative voltage to the amplifier, enabling biasing of the CV control voltage. This is useful, for example, when using a -5v / +5v LFO input to modulate the amplitude of another signal, with the output expected to be in the range 0v to +5v.

The key details of the Quad VCA are:

16HP Wide Eurorack module with thin profile (20mm deep from faceplate)

Controls designed and laid-out with performance in mind

100% analogue circuitry

Tough yet light composite faceplate

Provides four completely independent voltage-controlled amplifiers

Each voltage-controlled amplifier features a CV input, CV attenuator and an offset control to bias the amplifier

CV inputs accept a voltage range of -5v to +5v

Inputs accept a voltage range of -5v to +5v

Linear VCA behaviour

The Hampshire Electronics Low Pass VCF is a brand new, 100% analogue voltage-controlled filter in the popular Eurorack format.

The VCF features a low pass (12db) resonant filter based on the classic MS-20 state-variable filter design. The filter has two CV inputs and a tracking input for 1v per octave pitch signals.

The LP filter self-oscillates at high resonance settings and, with its matching transistor pairs, can also be used as a basic sine-wave voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO).

The key details of the VCF are:

12HP Wide Eurorack module with thin profile (20mm deep from faceplate)

Controls designed and laid-out with performance in mind

100% analogue circuitry

Tough yet light composite faceplate

Provides a resonant 12db LP filter based on the classic MS-20 design

Uses highly log-conformant LS-358 matched transistor pair

The filter self-oscillates, enabling usage as a basic sine-wave VCO

Two filter cut-off CV inputs with attenuator pots

Tracking CV input with 1v/Oct tracking

Diode protected power input

The Hampshire Electronics Dual VCF is a brand new, 100% analogue voltage-controlled filter in the popular Eurorack format.

The VCF features two completely independent filters, a high pass (12db) and low pass (6db).
These filters can be used completely independently or chained to produce highly controllable band-pass and notch filters, with controllable Q and filter cut-off.

The filters are of the state-variable style, inspired by the classic filters on the MS-20 synth of the late 1970s. This filter style is rightly regarded as a classic.

The LP filter section self-oscillates at high resonance settings and, due to its high performing matching transistor pairs, can also be used as a sine-wave voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO).

The key details of the VCF are:

20HP Wide Eurorack module with thin profile (20mm deep from faceplate)

Controls designed and laid-out with performance in mind

100% analogue circuitry
