    I remember The Big Sleep. Bogart asked Huston, "John, what the hell is this picture about?" Huston replied, "Damned if I know, Bogey." Because in the 1940s, the Hollywood Code made sure all mention of Rohypnol (or codeine and alcohol which was probably what they used back then,) date rape, amateur porn, and blackmail were completely removed from the script. Spicy stuff.
