The Korg Sigma is also a secret weapon for a sound designer. The Korg Sigma offers 2 distinct sections: the SYNTHE section and the INSTRUMENT section. Both sections are mixable and each have their own separate audio output. The SYNTHE section offers several stackable waveforms, each waveform has a setting: some have a combined ATTACK RELEASE setting, some a DECAY setting. The INSTRUMENT part offers 11 different sounds. These are the "typical" analog sounds of the late 70s; As for the SYNTHE section, each sound of the INSTRUMENT part has a setting, some offer an ATTACK setting, some offer a filter opening/cutting setting, others offer a TONE setting... As in the SYNTHE section all sounds in the INSTRUMENT section are stackable. There is also a RING MOD which sounds great and can be influenced by any Sigma source. The left part of the control panel is the section called "EFFECT", offers several functions to modify the sound: OCTAVE UP, OCTAVE DOWN, PORTAMENTO, KEY HOLD, MULTIPLE TRIGGER. Adjusting the speed of VIBRATO.."
