"The Oberheim OBX series are known to be some of the most classic synthesizers of our time, having been used in Eurythmics ''Sweet Dreams'' and Van Halen's ''Jump''. This instantly recognizable staple is capable of much more though, as Oberheim has created a truly versatile and incredible sounding synthesizer series. Tom Oberheim is the founder of Oberheim Electronics and he was born July 7, 1936 (age 85 years) in Manhattan, KS. Now, in 2022, Oberheim has announced and released the new Oberheim OB-X8, an 8-voice polyphonic analog synthesizer combining components of all previously created synthesizers put into a new powerhouse of a synth."
