"The synth sounds amazing and everything sound wise is in great working order, however the light panel value indicators are (like many of these aging AX80 units) partially burned out and the lit bars are not properly indicating program changes. (This does not affect the sound just the visual indication of program changes)
To solve this I installed the Tauntek AX80 firmware upgrade that makes the AX80 parameters editable with an iPad. You just need the app 'Midi Designer Pro 2' and a way to send midi messages from your iPad. [demo in the listing previously posted here]
This makes editing the AX80 so much easier and is a big improvement over the one big knob editing style from before.
And also, If you don't want to use an ipad the synth is still editable from the front panel via the information from the red LEDs"
