"Here is a restored Korg PS-3200 & his associated PS-3010 Keyboard module .
The 60 pin Honda keyboard cable is also included in the sale

This unit was fully serviced / restored at our workshop in Paris, and is of course 100% funcitonal.

It used to belong to Jean-Michel Jarre and was a backup unit for his first concert in 1979, place de la Concorde in Paris.
The PS-3200 was sold to an individual shortly after, and kept ever at his home since .

There are a few rare scuffs / scratch on the serigraphy and on front panel paint, but the overall cosmetical condition is excellent considering the age and the original condition of the unit when it arrived here .

The wooden cabinets were in a very poor condition before ( corners dammaged, veeneer poorly stripped , poorly painted in black, then re-stripped...) they were refinished for the sale .

A midi kit was installed at some point, but it was non working & the installation quite messy, so we decided to remove everything & restore it to factory condition, the (disconnected) midi plug is still here on the front panel, bottom right corner.

Please note that one of the 2 locking tabs of the Honda 60 pin cable ( one for each end ) is non functional : the tab stays in the locked position when not pressed, so you'll have to continually press if you want to remove or insert the cable ( which, to be honest, shouldn't happen a lot !) .
It doesn't affect the working condition of the cable in any way .

----------------------------------------------

Here is a list of the work done :

Change of all electrolytic and tantalum capacitors ( almost 280 pcs), cleaning of leakages and repair of defective tracks
Change of all the potentiometers ( 73 pcs), including those programmable with push/pull switch (custom made for the occasion)
All of the edge connectors ( 34 pcs) were replaced with new identical ones (made in Japan)
All of the jacks (57 pcs, including those of the keyboard) were replaced with identical new parts (also made in japan)
All of the 24 MM5824 dividers were replaced with new modern clones
Many Op-Amps & CMOS chips replaced
New batteries and new battery box
Refurbishment of the programming section: dismantling and cleaning of 16 ALPS push buttons, replacement of 2 pcs by NOS.
Slide switch (AUTO) was previously replaced by an ugly rocker switch: replacement of this one by an original identical part (ALPS), with the handle repainted in the right color
Power supply section redone: new capacitors, new thermal paste, insulators for new power transistors, calibration, new indicator bulb ( 250v) , new AC switch identical to the original . The modern IEC inlet was already there when the unit arrived here , so we let this one here !
Calibration
Wooden cabinets have been refinished for the keyboard unit and the PS-3200
All of the original potentiometer caps were missing and have been replaced by quality plastic molded replica ( made by Sweden Knobs)
