"Graham from Sonocurrent came from Baltimore to SoundMiT to present his 3 modules and an expander, the M T2D (double distortion), M C3A (crossfader / distribution), C GF4 (macro control and its expander the C GF4e). More info: https://www.sonocurrent.com/"
M T2D dual triode distortion
The M T2D dual triode distortion is a Nutube-based distortion module for the Eurorack format, offering two independent channels which can be patched separately for parallel processing, stereo, or multiple sources, or used in series for more complex distortion of a single source (or simply extreme distortion settings).
Spectral tilt filters before each triode stage alternately boost or cut high and low frequencies for different harmonic emphasis. These filters also affect the feedback loops, and can interact in very interesting ways with high feedback settings. The individual tube bias controls can also have a strong influence in combination with high feedback levels, in addition to more subtle shaping of the distortion when feedback levels are low.
Independent control of input level, tube bias, feedback level, and dry/wet mix is available for each channel, with CV inputs for the bias and mix controls. The CV inputs for the mix controls also have dedicated attenuators. A global plate voltage switch offers two different character options, for either smoother distortion or more severe clipping.
Developed by Sonocurrent with circuit design and PCB layout by Eric Schlappi. Designed and assembled in the USA.
18HP | max. depth: 33mm | 210g | +12V: 111mA | -12V: 65mA
MSRP: $325
C GF4 group fader/distributor
The C GF4 group fader/distributor allows a single control of up to four signals, while maintaining the relative levels set by individual attenuators on each channel. Potential applications include use as a macro controller of multiple modulation paths, a variable distributor of a modulation source or control voltage to several destinations, and a group fader control for an audio signal group or stem.
The four inputs are normalled sequentially to allow for convenient splitting of signals to multiple destinations. An internal +5V source normalled to the first input also allows use of the C GF4 as a single manual control of multiple control voltage destinations, in the absence of a patched input signal. The core module includes inverting switches for channels two and four, and a response curve switch to change the group level control from a linear to exponential response curve.
An optional 6HP expansion module adds offset controls for channels one and three, and individual mute functions for each channel. The mute functions can be activated manually or with control voltages above 2V, including gate, LFO, and envelope signals.
Designed and assembled in the USA.
C GF4: 12HP | max. depth: 25mm | +12V: 95mA | -12V: 80mA
C GF4e: 6HP | max. depth: 25mm | +12V: 10mA | -12V: 15mA
MSRP: $195 / $95 (C GF4 / C GF4e)
M C3A crossfading array
The M C3A is an array of three voltage-controlled crossfaders. The first two stages are arranged in parallel with their outputs feeding the third, central crossfader. Creative blending of up to four input signals is possible with individual voltage control of each crossfading stage. Individual attenuators for each input are provided to set equal levels (or not…) going into the first set of crossfades. In addition to the main output, direct outputs from the initial crossfade stages are available for more elaborate sound design, or to use those stages together in parallel (stereo patches, for example).
The crossfade control voltages are also sent to separate auxiliary outputs, which will output a voltage corresponding to the manual control position in the absence of an external control signal, simplifying complex chaining of controls without an additional external multiple, or conveniently passing control voltages to another destination elsewhere in the patch.
Designed and assembled in the USA.
18HP | max. depth: 25mm | +12V: 80mA | -12V: 75mA
MSRP: $250
