Thanks for this! Love to see side by side demos. They both do the brass thing very well, with different character. There are other patch categories where I think the difference between the two potentially gets wider, but it's difficult to describe what the difference is... listening to the difference like this, on patches intended to be closely parametered, is a great way to compare character
ReplyDeleteThank you! In these few examples I used solely 4-pole filter at the OB-X8 as that is the filter type at the Prophet 5. With other filters used at the OB-X8 the difference is greater. The mod matrix at the OB-X8 is another part that will differ the sound character. But as mentioned, the examples are meant to be, not identical, but still close to catch the tonal character.
