Starts out fine, interesting, then eventually goes nowhere, as does the bulk of today's composition. Ours has become a world of musical pastiche without denouement. Five seconds of intrigue cannot be stretched over twenty minutes and still be called music. I'm sorry. I listen to Saint-Saëns and I listen to this, and I am convinced that somewhere in the past century the human species has lost its mind. It's over. As the human attention span becomes shorter and shorter, so do the ideas, until eventually there is a moment of sensation with no consideration and that will be the scope of mentality. That will be the end.
