"This is the limited edition Red Andromeda. I am the original owner. It sounds great but currently does not chase to the edit screens when the knobs are turned, you must actually press the parameter button to view the edit screen. Also the voice allocation does not display. You can, of course, edit and store programs to the user bank as normal. However, the program gets scrambled if you let it sit idle for awhile. Small amount of wear tear but generally looks great. I don't have the time or inclination to sort the issue."
The seller has it listed for $700, local pickup only in Paso Robles, CA.

For the $700 asking price I could buy a round trip airline ticket from New York to California and back and this would still be the least expensive Andromeda on Earth. I am so tempted to do just that. I think the problem is the ROM battery is low. Don't tell him that.
ReplyDeleteJust checked. That round trip would be about $600-$700 plus incidentals, yes, this would cost well under two grand for an Andromeda. I don't know why it is still available. And it is one of the first 100 red models. I hate when this happens.
ReplyDeleteI really have to wonder about that last photograph, though? Who are that couple? Is that a young Malcolm MacDowell on the left? What?
ReplyDeleteI had to image search. They are the Carpenters. The girl looked familiar but I had never seen Karen C. looking so stern. I thought it was some A.I. manipulated image.
