"It is a vintage instrument from the early 70s, among the first early pre-midi synthesizers.

Tom Oberheims's favorite synth.

Its condition is great cosmetically, physically, and electronically, and it has just been serviced professionally. The service included making sure all features were working 100%, changing out old capacitors to prevent future problems and rebushing the keyboard for smooth non-clanky operation.

The small 2-voice analog keyboard includes two synthesizer expander modules, AKA SEMs, a 37 note keyboard, and a mini sequencer that plays two eight note patterns. The second sequence can be used to create rhythms. Sample and hold can be applied to the pitch or filter. With a lot of filter resonance applied you can get great rhythmic beats by sending noise into the filter and modulating the filter with sample and hold at the tempo you want, while setting the ADSR envelope to a percussive attack. Or push down on the sequencer speed switch and the sample and hold will change the filter frequency within a desired range and hold there, waiting for the next push, or to start running, creating a beat again. Jam on...

This unique synthesizer offers endless possibilities. Although not a modular, inside the SEMs there are mylar connectors to access many commonly used modulation points beyond the choices that the front panel knobs offer.

It has an amazing fat analog sound. You can easily customize the back panel inputs to provide options like using a pedal to sweep through the overtones, when using the phase-sync feature, to get undulating, growling tones like those made famous by Jan Hammer, whose keyboard sounded like a guitar. Spice it up with some flanging and some of your other effects. No effects are on-board.

The synth has a jack already wired on the back panel that is wired to sweep the frequencies of the 2 phase sync ocsillators when using a voltage control pedal.

The appearance is near mint with normal scuffing on the bottom. One of the lid latches was missing a piece, so I made one and now the lid latches securely.

The sale includes the 2-voice keyboard, printed schematics, the original lid and 2 power cords."
