Bheringer Shares Their Enigma - Buchla Music Easel Prototype
via Behringer
"We're excited to share our latest Enigma prototype as we get closer to the final product. It's a very complex design, particularly with the addition of total patch memory. We hope you enjoy the vibrant colors! 🙂"
I don't understand how Behringer can get away with doing knock-offs of current products. Its terrible that they do it in the first place - shame on them! But also, why isn't Buchla able to stop them? It would be different if Behringer approached a manufacturer or rights holder and made an agreement to licence a product - but this is totally different and seems very wrong, however "good" the knock-off is as a product
Imagine the cost of going to court and litigating. Now imagine your opponent is a multinational corporation. In another country. Backed by Chinese money. Where factory worker suicide rates are just a cost of doing business. Now, how much money do you have to pay your lawyer?
Can't wait for this being released.

DeleteBut they don't even complain about it - surely Buchla should be kicking up a storm about their product being ripped off?
