AM1028 Sequential Volts - Expand your Behringer 1027 Sequencer

video upload by AMSynths

"AMSynths expands the B1027 sequencer with an additional column of eight steps of control voltage. The included 12-way ribbon cable connects the two modules internally. CV outputs of 2V and 10V ranges are available. The 2V output is ideal for VCO's and can be patched via a quantizer (used in the video). The 1028 was envisaged by ARP in 1970 but never manufactured until now."

"This 8HP module expands the capability of the Behringer 1027 sequencer by adding an additional column of variable control voltages. The module connects to the B1027 with an included 12 way ribbon cable.

The eight steps of the 1027 are mirrored in the 1028 with three precision control voltage outputs; one at 2V for controlling VCO's and two at 10V for controlling filters, amplifiers and VC env gens.

In 1970 ARP planned to make a slave module for the 2500 1027 sequencer but it never made it into production or prototype stage.

The AMSynths AM1028 fills in a piece of history by recreating the Slave Module, which we call Sequential Volts. It is an easy to understand and use module; just plug it into the Behringer 1027 module with the included 12-way cable and enjoy another column of step CV's!

The AM1028 can be placed next to the Behringer 1027 or close to the module it is controlling, reducing patch cable lengths. Multiple AM1028 modules can be connected to one long ribbon cable, thanks to the CMOS buffering chips and diode protection in the module. or the AMSEQBUS pcb can be used to connect mutiple modules.
High quality Alpha potentiometers and Rogan knobs have been used to ensure control voltages can be easily set and adjusted. The 2V output is designed to drive VCO's and increases the resolution of the control pots."
