Oberheim OB-X8 TouchOSC Bidirectional Editor v4.0

"GENERIC FEATURES:
- Display parameter Name and Value
- Double click a slider or button to reset it to a default value
- MIDI data rate efficient: only sends a MIDI message if the parameter value is incremented or decremented by 1

SPECIFIC FEATURES (FW v2.0.0.1):
- All Program (124) parameters implemented in the editor, except Split / Double and MPE using NRPN. Program parameters are bidirectional
- 2 VCO Triangle buttons have been added for better UX, and specific business logic to map it to existing MIDI implementation
- Most Global (25) parameters implemented in the editor using NRPN
- MIDI channel selection slider in the PROGRAM page (linked to MIDI channel selection slider in the GLOBAL page)
- Bank (change) + Program (change) selection slider + buttons
- Buffer Request, Buffer Init buttons using SYSEX

WORKFLOW 1 (starting at 00:07 in the video above):
- Select a Bank & Program
- Press Buffer Request to load it to the editor
- Start editing (the loaded patch) on the editor (the Patch is edited in the synth buffer)
- Naming
- Press Request Buffer to record it in your DAW / SYSEX librarian; or save it manually in the synth

WORKFLOW 2 (starting at 01:00 in the video above):
- Press Buffer Init to send an init patch to the synth buffer
- Start editing (the init patch) on the editor (the Patch is edited in the synth buffer)
- Press Request Buffer to record it in your DAW / SYSEX librarian; or save it manually in the synth

- Listen to OB-X8 #2 factory patch
- Send OB-X8 #1 Program Change (PC)
- Listen to OB-X8 #1 factory patch “It’s an O…”
- Request OB-X8 #1 factory patch to editor
- Edit OB-X8 #1 factory patch (in the synth buffer)
- Name this new patch “It’s an A”
- Press Request Buffer to record it in your DAW / SYSEX librarian; or save it manually in the synth
