The mighty dual manual PROPHET 10!
Priced right to sell quickly, the Prophet 10 is literally TWO Prophet 5's in one synth with extra abilities such as layering, bi-timbrallity, alternating notes between upper and lower voices etc.
This rarely seen monster analog synth is by far one of the fattest and nicest vintage synthesizers. The Prophet 10 is simply two glorious Prophet 5 synthesizers stacked together. That gives 10 voices with 20 of Sequential's unique analog VCO oscillators at 2 per voice for a big fat analog dream!
20 oscillators (2 per voice), 10 voices, 2 independent 61 note keyboards and all the great sounds and editing facilities as the Prophet 5! Built in Tuning tones and Auto-Tuning functions help make sure you won't go out of tune. And top notch circuitry and design prevent overheating. Multiple keyboard modes allow for true flexibility for different performance / voicing needs! The Prophet 10 is a truly fat and classic analog instrument.
This synth has been fully serviced, recapped including the tantalum caps, restored and has Wine Country Sequential's MIDI added! Even the front panel nameplate is in perfect condition which is rare on these. The sequencer works as it should too, although I never really used it but I have played around with it. I do not know if the micro-cassette tape drive works, I dont have any tapes and have never tried it.
The synth will be well packed and shipped in a new custom made road case, Local pickup in San Antonio, TX can be arranged. There are no returns or refunds on this item.
Dual Manual: The Prophet-10 has two keyboards, 5-octaves each, allowing for independent performance or layering of sounds.
Bi-timbral Operation: This feature allows the user to play two different sounds (programs) simultaneously, either layered on top of each other or split across the two keyboards.
Two Prophet-5's in One: Essentially, the Prophet-10 was designed as a dual-version of the Prophet-5, offering double the voices and the ability to combine sounds in unique ways.
Voice Allocation: Each manual controls five voices of the ten-voice synthesizer. When using the bi-timbral mode, each program gets its own five voices.
Applications: This allows for creating thick, layered pads, split keyboard performances with bass on one manual and leads on the other, or any combination of sounds from the two synthesizer banks."
