"Akai EWI1000 (First-Generation Controller) — Signed by Michael Brecker / Provenance: Montreal Jazz Festival 2001

Model: Akai EWI1000 controller only (no sound module). Condition: Overall good; strap hook has some rust from a past strap modification but i prefered to not touch it. Special Value: Genuine “Mike Brecker” autograph sealed under protective film since 2001; still clear and intact today.

“To my knowledge after extensive research, this is the only Akai EWI ever held and signed by Michael Brecker. No other examples have surfaced in autograph collections, auction archives, or collector networks. That rarity adds powerful uniqueness and historical weight to this instrument.”

“This is not a generic EWI1000. It is the specific instrument Michael Brecker held and signed for me in July 2001 at the Montreal Jazz Festival; he even ‘air-played’ it for several minutes before signing ;) . The signature has been preserved under film since that night.'"
