Turn any sample into an explorable landscape.

Solstice makes any sample into a unique, playable map, revealing hidden textures within your sounds. Made with ambient, experimental, and aleatoric music in mind, but versatile enough for any genre.

60 factory samples + 65 factory presets

Solstice comes with factory samples and presets, categorized and tagged. Filter by mode, style, or favorites. Every preset remembers its exact map position, ready to play.

Import your own samples

Drop your own samples in Solstice to generate their unique geography. Bright textures find their neighbours, transients drift to the edges, sustained tones form dense regions. Every imported sample is stored in user library and instantly accessible.

In-depth control
cascading reverb Control

cascading reverb
This reverb self-oscillates by design. High Decay plus high Tone creates cascading feedback you can play like an instrument. Lower the Tone to darken everything into mud. spectral pitch Control

spectral pitch
8 octaves up or down without artifacts. High quality frequency-domain shifting which preserves transients. Pitch bend responds across ±12 semitones. smooth blending Control

smooth blending
The Spread parameter controls frame blending, i.e. how many adjacent cells blend together. Low values give you precision and clarity. High values create blurring and smoother sounds.

Powered by spectral synthesis
Take any moment from a sound - a single note, a chord, a texture - and hold it forever without loops or clicks. That's spectral synthesis.

Unlike granular synthesis that loops tiny slices of the waveform, Solstice freezes the actual frequency content of each moment. Moving between points morphs these frozen spectra smoothly.

Jump from any attack to any sustain without the transient in between. Every point on the map is perfectly held, and the space between them flows like water.
