The noise of the D-2000's mixer was a big letdown for me, amongst other things. Having the performance-playable (better than most) and built-in sequencer, with the added features of a separately clockable “rolls” speed and analog clock in make this D-1000 the one to have.
Adding the tunable resonance potentiometers increases the flexibility when being used as both drum voices and as bandpass filters.
Yes, it can also be used as three independent or linked (via the CV inputs) bandpass filters. Again, now that it has resonance boost/cut? Awesome.
This makes it into a filterbank.
Selling due to big plans and little monies :hihi: Ain't it always so.
Mods:
Roll speed potentiometer so that the fills/rolls can have their own speed.
"Roll In" allows for the fills/rolls to have an external synchronization source
"Clock In" allows for the sequencer to lock to an external clock. Nice!
3 Resonance potentiometers. Yup, they adjust the resonance 'from stock to rock'. These allow for a larger variety of sounds when use as either filters or drum voices.
Throw offers at me as pricing this thing is like reading thermionic tea leaves. Search engines and AI are all over the place and Reverb and Ebay are of no help.
Comes with the paper manual. I sent it back to Eric, at Metasonix, and he replaced the switches and did some other services. This was quite some time ago. It’s working great and ready to go."
