Mitchell Sigman - Memory

video upload by celebutante

"From Mitchell Sigman's 2026 record, 'Memory Banks'
Available for streaming/purchase here: https://linktr.ee/mitchellsigmanmusic"

Some additional notes on the release from Mitchell:

"Thought you might like my new record, “Memory Banks"… it's sort of a cross between “Time"-era Electric Light Orchestra, Kraftwerk, The Alan Parsons Project, etc. No AI, no Suno, no loops, lots of the synths played live without MIDI (because I’m old school and like making my life difficult :P). I did everything on it (except for one backing vocal I made my wife do because I couldn’t hit the note that night!).

Almost all synths used are hardware - 5U/Euro/Oberheim SEM modular beast, rev4 Prophet-10, Roland VP-330 vocoder (previously owned by Greg Hawkes from The Cars), Polymoog, Minimoog, Moog Matriarch, vintage Korg MS-20 and Delta, Therevox, Ensoniq SQ-80, and vintage Chickering seven-foot grand piano. The only virtual instruments are Cherry Audio Harmonia and Polymode (both of which I designed), some sampled electric pianos, and XLN Addictive Drums."

And a couple of gear videos from his YouTube channel:

All of My Love

video upload by celebutante

"Me playing Led Zep's "All of My Love" on a Yamaha GX-1 at the EMEAPP collection in Philadelphia. I wish Vince Sr. would've got me playing the solo, but was super nice of him to shoot this in the first place."

Digital Noise Clap Smashes!

video upload by celebutante

"Using my modular synth to create clap-ish smashery. For the serious nerds:

Ken Stone/CGS31 Digital Noise Generator (DIY PCB build)
Moon Modular 505 State-Variable Filter
Synthetic Sound Labs Serge Resonant EQ (also a Ken Stone CGS thing)
Synthesizers.com Q108 Amp
Synthesizers.com Q109 Envelope Generators (one modulating filter cutoff freq, other for amplitude)"
