2. DR-SEQ-64 Drum Sequencer – Quick Pattern Edit Tutorial

A demonstration of the DR-SEQ-64 module by VITA SYNTHS, showing how to:

delete an existing pattern,

create a new pattern,

save and later load a pattern.

The video also shows that an unsaved pattern is not lost if the module is powered off unexpectedly, and it will be restored when the module is turned on again. This feature helps prevent loss of unsaved patterns.

4. First test of the 4X AT 85 mkII drum module - VITA SYNTHS

The 4X-AT-85 mkII drum module has several improvements compared to the original version.

Loud audio output. Thanks to drum triggering at the start of each pulse, there’s no delay anymore. Each channel offers only four new samples, but they sound much better thanks to the saved data space. The operational amplifier has been replaced with an OPA2134PA, giving the mkII a warm tone even though the new samples are punchy and loud. Precisely tuned LPFs preserve more detail and 8-bit glitchy shrieks in the sound. For added flexibility, a second LPF stage has been added to each channel, which can be turned on or off with a button. Trigger inputs are now protected against negative voltage, so you can safely experiment and even trigger drums with a bipolar LFO. For easier control, the toggle switches have been replaced with push-button switches. The 4X-AT-85 mkII also comes in a stylish blue color :)

Hlasitý audio výstup. Díky spouštění bubnů na začátku pulzu už nedochází k žádnému zpoždění, Každý kanál má na výběr sice jen 4 nové vzorky, ale díky ušetřenému datovému prostoru zní mnohem lépe. Operační zesilovač byl nahrazen OPA2134PA, díky čemuž na mkII teplý zvuk i přesto, že nové vzorky jsou průbojné a hlasité. Přesně nastavené LPF umožnilo zachovat ve zvuku více detailů a 8-bitových glitch skřeků. Pro možnost volby byl na každý kanál přidán druhý stupeň LPF, který lze zapnout nebo vypnout tlačítkem. Pro klid v duši při experimentování byly trigger vstupy opatřeny ochranou proti zápornému napětí. Nyní můžete spouštět bubny třeba pomocí bipolárního LFO bez obav. Pro snadnější ovládání byly páčkové spínače nahrazeny tlačítky. 4X-AT-85 mkII také dostal slušivou modrou barvu :)
