"MICROPHONIC: in the early days of electronics, analog devices were made with vacuum tubes and performed everything from logic to output amplification. The first Theremins were made with vacuum tube technology-- it was all that was available. Vacuum tubes were everywhere and in everything. But they had a flaw: they were inconsistent to manufacture, expensive to maintain, took time to warm up, generated heat, and could burn out like a lightbulb. Eventually, the world went solid state. It was cheaper, easy to maintain, and lasted longer.

But something got lost. Inside of tube mechanics were red hot voltages. As it turned out, these voltages were also somehow musical to our ears. Once the world transitioned to solid state, people started to miss the "tube sound" which was simply imperfect in a perfect way.

Meet MICROPHONIC.

We've taken everything we've learned from the last 100 years in tube technology and put it into a musical instrument that sounds ancient, while still being musical. These tubes have been modelled from multiple spec sheets and fed with voltages from a modelled power supply fed by our db-cell technology. They end up sounding alive, instable, inaccurate, and HOT!

We've implemented this into the oscillator section, filter, mixer, and even effects. Every imperfection has been once again brought to the forefront and impacts sound. While that sounds dangerous, it stays in tune, but parts of the circuit drift around in different ways. Suddenly you want to hold notes longer. Let them ring out. Let them play. You can hear it when you first switch it on- this is the first software that takes a few seconds to warm up and stabilize!
