"Third part. This concludes the first half of the concert. Stay tuned for the next part!

The audio and video go heavily out of sync at one point, only to be back in sync again after a while. I find this extremely weird, but it's present in the original footage. Any ideas about what might have caused it?"

Carol of the Bells on Chipophone

YouTube via lftkryo | December 19, 2010 |

"This piece, "Shchedryk", was written by Ukrainan composer Mykola Leontovych in 1916, as an assignment for a harmony course. The
ostinato is an ancient new year's chant. Peter Wilhousky wrote the English
lyrics in 1936, transforming the song into a Christmas carol.

The looping ostinato and the stepwise harmonic progressions lend the
composition a chiptune-like character to begin with, which made it a perfect
choice for this little 8-bit greeting. Merry Christmas!"

Little Nemo: The Dream Master (Chipophone)

YouTube via lftkryo | December 12, 2010 |

"Music from the game Little Nemo: The Dream Master, composed by Junko Tamiya in 1990, performed on the Chipophone.

I had not heard this music until it was first requested by youtube user Jakyden, but I immediately liked the endgame tune, presented here as the second movement. It is rare for an 8-bit composition to capture feelings of nostalgia and melancholy so beautifully."
