Drawmer DMT 1080 and Sequential Circuits Pro One Demo

Published on Oct 11, 2018 Soundgas

"Putting the Drawmer DMT through its paces with the Sequential Circuits Pro One. This BBD multi-delay can create flanging and phasing using the two delays in various combinations.

Apologies for the clipping at times, the Drawmer is quite volatile and it seems a better trained handler is required."

PLASTIKMAN - Ask Yourself (HighSage Remix @burnstudios)

"A month in the making...Massive acid remix of Plastikman's "Ask Yourself" destined to possibly win the remix competition. Please listen and favorite on soundcloud if you agree.... Mastered by Tim Xavier of www.manmademastering.com, amazing! "

PLASTIKMAN - Ask Yourself (HighSage Remix @burnstudios) Mastered, undithered by highsage
"This remix represents everything I've learned from Plastikman to date. Every modulation, every understatement, every nod to acid, and every piece of hardware used...all respectfully and graciously applied to that single end statement. This one is for you, Richie.

Many thanks to Tim Xavier for mastering this with such care for me.... wow, sounds huge and wide open! http://www.manmademastering.com
Dithered version will be uploaded tomorrow...this one's whatever SC does to a 24/44.1 file..."

"This remix was a stark reminder that the reason I make techno is primarily to further the relationships I have with these machines. Each, an instrument unto itself, needs only to be liberated, instead of beat into submission by our artist's ego.
Techno has always been about the future that the machines will bring...about a dream of a far off place in space, or a post apocalyptic landscape...the machines still singing their song...while humans are left with nothing more to do than dance.
This video depicts those instruments, and my relationship with them. The 303 is the only instrument I've ever played...even beyond playing jazz horn for 20 years... that I've never felt lonely while playing it. Unlike every other instrument on earth...it is the one that speaks back to you, and tells you more about yourself than you ever wanted to know, and it does it with an attitude just to remind you who is boss.
Thank you Richie, for those early years especially...when you would bang on the 909 like you didn't care whether the world was gonna end that night or not...and for making me feel the same way when I last saw you live. THAT, my dear dear friends...is what acid is all about."

The gear: total analog path; tr-909 modified by Brian Castro in LA. Tb-303 into ts-303 pedal, x0xio sequenced off the 303, acidlab bassline 2 on harmonic 303 lines. WMD pedal on the snare. Al.so dynax^2 compressor on ensonique eps-16 string sample. Whole thing driven off 909/303 basically. Drawmer ds-201 noise gate on tr-909 open hats, then thru 2ube pre.

909 mods include decay, compression, tune range, drive, etc. Also hats pitch control...custom matching knobs too... Total destruction. 303 modded too...also by Brian Castro.... Best acid tech in the west..."
