"All analog japanese drum machine from the 70s. Classic sounds and patterns from this era.
Very nice sounds and inspiring patterns (20 in total). There is a balance knob that can fully mute the hi hat and cymbal, very handy for more variations. Also a sustain knob controls decays of the instruments except for cymbals and offers a wider range of sound (from a deeper kick to a very tight one for instance).
All in all a very charming box.
It has been serviced and is fully working. Like on all those boxes there is a slight hum in the background due to the power transformer but it is not a problem neither on stage nor in the studio."

1978 Keynote Musical Instruments Stage Scorpion Ad

via Retro Synth Ads where you'll find the write-up.
"Keynote Musical Instruments Ltd. Scorpion Stage Synthesizer 1-page advertisement from page 189 in International Musician and Recording World December 1978 (UK)."
Update: Details are in:
"The Scorpion is being advertised as the first British lead line synthesizer. It is not the first British synthesizer by any means but, as far as I know, it is the only one that has been introduced to compete with the smaller stage synthesizers like the Micro Moog, Arp Axxe, etc.
It is simple to understand, easy to operate synth, aimed at the person who has been frightened off using a variable synthesizer because of his/her lack of understanding of synth jargon and technical terms (the owner's manual contains information on not only how to operate the synthesizer, but also how the different parts of the synthesizer affect the final sound.)"
Two oscillators
Programmable with eight presets
Keyboard pressure bend
Delayed modulation
You can find the full specs in this new Retro Synth Ads post.
Update via 7ate9 in the comments: "synthmaster has pics here"
