SammichSID (Part 5)
via synth.nl where you'll find the full post.
"I finished up the first SammichSID today. It wan't much work any more just installing the panels. Here you can see a picture of the back panel with the paper still on it. If you click on the picture you can see a larger version and read the text that is engraved in it. You can also clearly see the C64 style power switch which I still think is a nice retro-touch..."

sammichSID Final Batch
via midibox.org
"After 350 kits sold (including 556 SIDs), I have finally got to the end of the waiting list. Woot!
There will be a final batch of 50 kits in November. I don’t have plans to keep lots of pre-packed kits in stock, therefore, once the last batch is sold, YOU CANT HAZ SAMMICHSID! There are still plenty of kits available in the final batch."
See midibox.org if you are interested in picking one up.

Building a SammichSID on Synth.nl
via Synth.nl. You'll find other projects documented from start to finish there as well. If you are new and/or interested in DIY, it will give you a good idea on what goes into them.
"Last week I started another new DIY project. It is a SammichSID synthesizer. Actually I will be building two of them one for my Friend Hans and one for myself. It is a bit like the MB-6582 I build before but a bit simpler. It has only 2 SID chips on board. But it will have that same fat Commodore 64 sound that brings you back to the 80's right away."
