YMO - Solid State Survivor (cover)
YouTube via EnvelopeGenerator | September 29, 2010
"Blank tongues ablaze!
Here's a fancy version of Solid State Survivor (ソリッド・ステイト・サヴァイヴァー) by Yellow Magic Orchestra, complete with a very silly video of greenscreen, some of my film photos, Super 8 footage, video feedback and a few shots of YMO I found on Google Images.
This is also my first HD video despite the fact that I still don't have an HD camera - the video clips are stitched together from multiple SD shots (if you look closely at the first shot you can see the seams). This is also probably going to be the last video I make for a while because I'm going to university next week, so enjoy - it could possibly be the last ever Envelope Generator production!
Song by Yukihiro Takahashi with lyrics by Chris Mosdell."

Klaus Schulze - Live 1977 (better image & sound)
YouTube via Nimanty | September 23, 2010
"Klaus Schulze performs 'For Barry Graves' - live concert 1977.
Unique and rare footage. Video re-edited for better image quality and sound remastered for better clearity and stereo imaging. - Nimanty -
Details: See Klaus Schulze using the Moog D synthesizer, switching the added white noise off at 6:20. Enjoy!"
Update via Qwave in the comments: ""... the Moog D synthesizer, ..." ;-)
The official CD release ("For Barry Graves", La Vie Electronique 5) is not that much emphased on the higher mid-range frequency.
BTW: the black sequencer behind Klaus' head at 0:59 is the very first Synthanorma by Matten&Wiechers. Some german info about it here:
http://www.elektropolis.de/ssb_vorgeschichte2.htm. You need a translation?" [Googlish for now as long as we get the gist of it.]
Extended version here.
Captain and Tennille LOVE WILL KEEP US TOGETHER
YouTube via VideoArchives1964 | February 15, 2009
Anyone ID the white keyboard next to the Captain? At 2:19 it's making the reso synth bass sounds.
"Here is a vintage clip of Captain & Tennille. I love the old clips where Toni is playing piano and singing ...She is extremely talented!!!!"

Making music on a microscopic scale
Making music on a microscopic scale from University of Twente on Vimeo.
"Strings a fraction of the thickness of a human hair, with microscopic weights to pluck them: researchers and students from the MESA+ Institute for Nanotechnology of the University of Twente have succeeded in constructing the first musical instrument with dimensions measured in mere micrometres - a 'micronium' - that produces audible tones. A composition specially written for the instrument was performed in Enschede on Sunday 26 September."
Cwejman RES-4 demo
Cwejman RES-4 demo from hpsounds on Vimeo.
"Here is a short demo of the Cwejman RES-4 Quad VC Resonators module.
This patch involve 3 intermodulating oscillators (Wiard Oscillator in LFO mode, Wiard Anti-Oscillator as a modulator, Tiptop Audio Z3000 as a modulator), which are filtered by a Wiard Boogie filter, itself modulated by the Wiard Oscilator.
12 dB/oct output of the Boogie filter is connected to the Cwejman RES-4. The tip was to modulate two bands of the RES-4 by an envelope (Wiard Envelator), which is trigged by a pulse rhythm created with the Intellijel uStep (clock signal is provided by the End output of a Bananalogue Serge VCS).
EFX processing through a nice Eventide Eclipse patch ;-) which give a Steve ROACH's like sound IMO."
