via this auction
"This is the "The Works" version of the Triwave Picogenerator, built... by 4ms in 2004. The Triwave Picogenerator is an analog synth manipulated by knobs and switches, intended for sound artists into noise and maybe ambient music. There are 3 models of this synth, with the "The Works" model having the most features. Click here to view the official Triwave Picogenerator website, which lists the features as well as optional mods, has demos, etc.
As previously mentioned, this particular Triwave Picogenerator was built in 2004 and so will not have the latest mods described on the website..."

4ms/Commonsound Triwave Picogenerator w/cross-mods
via this auction
"The Triwave is a generalized noisemaking machine, great for weird drones, sirens, modulations, and hiss. Click here for a page full of audio samples and videos [below]. Mine is the basic version with cross-mod knobs (on the sides) added. You can also add inputs for guitar or other instruments, and a variety of other modifications. These go for $335 from 4ms, without the cross-mods."

o Speed: rate of change of each pitch channel
o Depths (2 knobs per LFO): Amount of pitch modulation on each VCO
* Mix: blend between tone channels
* Volume: output level
* Waveshaper: (3 knobs) blend each LFO from square to triangle
* Symmetry: blend each LFO from sawtooth ramp-up to triangle to sawtooth ramp-down, or variable duty-cycle rectangle wave, a knob per LFO
* Ring mod: adds an input jack and sensitivity control for ring modulation effect
* Dual cross modulation: (2 knobs) frequency modulate each channel with the other
* Waveshaper: blend each LFO from square to triangle, a knob per LFO
* Symmetry: blend each LFO from sawtooth ramp-up to triangle to sawtooth ramp-down, or variable duty-cycle rectangle wave, a knob per LFO
* Ring mod: adds an input jack and sensitivity control for ring modulation effect
* Aux volume: uses ring mod input jack for blending clean signal over the triwave
* Dual cross modulation: frequency modulate each channel with the other, a switch per VCO
* Range switches: select full pitch range or high range only, a switch per VCO
* Drum triggers: adds a trigger input jack and sensitivity knob per VCO, for triggering each channel with an external source
* Expression pedal jacks (pitch): control pitch of each channel with an expression pedal (x2)
* Photocells: control pitch of each channel with a theremin-like photo-eye (x2, one for each tone generator)
* Bypass switch: flip or stomp switch for true-bypassing
* LFO reset button: tap button to reset each LFO
* Expression pedal jacks (LFO speeds): control speed of each LFO with an expression pedal
* Fine Tune pitch: Micro-adjust the pitch of each channel
* Stereo output: pan and volume controls for each tone channel (two output jacks)
There are two VU meters that move and throb with the speed of sound. The unit itself is 15” by 15” with a sloped front. On the front panel there are 30 knobs, 9 switches and 3 buttons. Two chrome handles on the sides for lifting and moving, plus add to the overall look of the thing. A beast of a machine, this is perfect for the sound experimenter or noise making musician!"

MIDI Triwave Picogenerator (Introduction)
YouTube via 4mspedals. remember, you can search on 4mspedals on the top left search box for more.
"MIDI Triwave Picogenerator driven by a standard MIDI keyboard. Audio is from Triwave's analogue oscillators. The MIDI Triwave can run as a standalone noise-maker, with 3 LFOs driving the oscillators, and at the same time MIDI Note signals control the pitches. The oscillators can be triggered by MIDI (beginning of video) or free-running (rest of the video).

via this auction
"The Triwave Picogenerator, made by 4ms pedals, is a unique noise generating device. It is capable of extreme and varied sounds, using two oscillators and three LFOs. Sounds awesome and will definately make an impact. This is a one-of-a-kind custom version which adds stereo outputs and a random shape for the LFOs. One of the LFOs can control panning to create stereo motion. Works perfectly and is in MINT condition. Power supply included."

"Do you like making crazy noises? Of course you do, that's why you're looking at this. Unfortunately I need money to pay for school, so this puppy's up for grabs.
Made by commonsound (the 4ms guy), it's basically the "drum trigger" model with an extension bypass stomp, so you can use it as a guitar pedal, or tabletop. Also has stereo outs, bypass flipswitch (so you can turn it on or off without the footswitch), range switch, and a clean aux input. That's $165 in extras! Plus it comes with a power supply. Now why am I selling it so cheap? First, like I said, I need money. Second, I had trouble getting it to work like a ringmod. There's a crack in the enclosure around the input jack, so that might be the source of the problem. I got it to work properly once or twice, but most of the time it's just a clean blend.
More info and soundclips and whatnot can be found here."

"I just put up a small set on flickr of the innards of various synths. I'll try to add to it from time to time. So far there's the Yamaha SY2, Yamaha YC-25D, and a Russian handclapper stompbox. Also a homemade Triwave Picogenerator.

Pictured:
"The Yamaha SY2 oscillator and filter modules. Apparently the filter is the same as the one in the enormous GX1 monster synth, and thus the same as the one in the MOTM GX1 filter. Old Crow actually reverse-engineered this filter for MOTM by dissolving the material it's potted in--see his page on the project at www.cs80.com/ne_proj.html."
