"This is an amazing Roland 16 voice Polyphonic Analog DCO Synthesizer that is in excellent condition. I am the second owner, the first owner was just a collector and kept it in her apartment then sold it to me in 2021. In 2021 I had all the tact switches replaced because they all fail on these keyboards. I also installed the (look it up) Vecoven 3 Chip set (Rom A, B&C) which upgrades the entire operating system and increases the onboard patch storage to the equivalent of 32 cartridges ! and adds an Arpeggiator.. Also included synth comes loaded up with the two original Roland factory sound banks, and 9 more banks (cartridges) of sound patches from super-jx.com database and a patch list! Also included the Retroactive PG-800 MINI programmer. I take great care of all my synths and this one is still a beauty. Only the aftertouch strip was not replaced so there is no aftertouch. Everything else works plays and sounds like new. 2 upper keys have slight scratch on them. Do the research and realize what you are about to buy, a powerhouse Poly Synth with upgraded parts, operating system, increased memory, and a Programmer."

"Using the last of the Roland monster analog synths from 1986, the MKS-70 and the Super JX (JX-10) can be tedious when it comes to editing. Even with the original PG-800 controller from Roland.
But with a Vecoven Firmware chip V.3 and the MPG-70 controller from Retroaktiv, things goes a lot faster and smoother."

Retroaktiv PG-800 Mini - Random Tone Generator & Scratch Patch Buttons

"The PG-800 Mini is a miniature knob controller that mounts inside of the Roland JX-8P or Super JX. This video demonstrates the PG-800 Mini's random tone generator function, as well as the scratch patch function.

Tapping the WRITE button on the PG-800 Mini will generate a generic "scratch patch", which consists of two sawtooth waves, not detuned, through an open filter and a gated VCA. It serves as a great starting point when creating a new program.

Holding the WRITE button will generate a random program.

The unit used in this demo is running Vecoven 4.x firmware, and has the Vecoven PWM PCBs installed."
