Another Mini Synth

Thought I posted this one already but apparently not. Via electro-music.com. Title link takes you there.

Korg Triton Goes Black

Korg TR via Sonic State News. Title link takes you there.

"Based on the the Tritons Hyper Integrated sound engine, the 64MB wave ROM (twice that of the original Triton) is packed with new sounds, plus some of the Korg classics, the TR bucks the Korg usual silver look by being “sleek and black” as they put it. The TR features a 16 track sequencer, sampler and effects section and adds USB MIDI plus SD card data storage."

Synth Coverpop

Via Music Thing. Very cool. I was hoping this was coming when I saw the guitar version on Music Thing. It sounds like Tom got the creater to do a synth version. Way to go Tom! Title link takes you there. You have to use it to appreciate it.

Voyager Acid

A little raw Voyager acid with Roland TR-909 and MC-09. Right click title link and save - 2.2M MP3.

Details:

  • Roland TR-909
  • Roland MC-09 Phrase Lab (synced to 909 and just running the preset Patch 01 bass line).
  • The MC-09 audio out straight into the Voyager

  • Voyager filters set to 1 Pole

  • Voyager modwheel set to random LFO to Filter

  • LFO synced to 909 set at 6

  • Cutoff set at 1k

  • Resonance set at 6

  • Spacing at 0

  • OSC 1, 2, 3 and Noise on the Voyager set to 0, so this is all MC-09

  • No effects/processing. Just raw via a Tascam US-428 USB audio in

  • Wave converted to MP3

Starts with modulation at zero then I start messing with the mod wheel (subtle to give it a little motion), nothing else. I suck at playing and recording, so apologies for the quality. It sounds much better on my monitors. I was just messing around with this and thought I'd share.

Prophet 5 Shots

Update: Tim updated the synth to a 3.3 with the 120 memories. Price is the same.

SCI Prophet 5 for sale. Title link takes you to more shots saved for posterity. Details below including contact info if you are interested.

"Due to unfortunate circumstances, I need to sell off one of my Prophet 5s.

This one is in fairly nice shape, with one blemish. It looks like it
might have been stored on it's end under less than favorable conditions
at some time, so the right hand end panel is a bit "weathered". It's
definitely something that could be easily sanded and restained. Also
the paint on the metal base is peeling off a bit in that area on the
bottom, but this is an easy one to solve. Aside from that it's in very
nice shape.

I was planning on refinishing the end and keeping it, but I really can't
at this point.

I need to sell this one off QUICKLY, so I'm pricing it at $1350 and will
only accept payment by Paypal. I'm looking to wrap this one up right away.

Additionally, if someone wants to pay an additional $50, I'll do the 3.3
upgrade to take it up to the 120 programs before I ship it out.

It's a really nice Prophet, and I hate to sell off gear, but this one
has to go.
