Korg EX800 - Finished Project

flickr by Breakfast for Dinner

full size

"Korg EX800 - Finished Project by Breakfast for Dinner. This is my Korg EX-800 (a Poly-800 in a rackmount unit). I finished the Moog Slayer and FM-800 Mods (from synthmod.net). I also added a noise control. Additionally I downloaded a new set of user patches to replace the factory ones."

Update via Mason in the comments: "top left is FM-800 knob, bottom left is noise control, top right is cutoff, bottom right is resonance."

A theme for my Muse

YouTube via attorks

"I dedicate this theme to my Muse. I tried to keep the theme modest and subtle like my Muse. At first you hear a sequence from the Synthesizers.com Modular driven by row 1 of the Doepfer MAQ16/3. After that the VCF frequence is raised to hear the sequence from the self built Modular driven by MAQ's row 2. The 3rd sequence comes from the Creamware MiniMax ASB which is driven by MAQ's row 3. The strings are performed by the AKAI AX80 and the solo's are played on the Clavia Nord Lead 1 and the Korg 900PS (Accordion preset with Traveler on 3.5).

I had to shorten the video almost 3 minutes because of the YouTube limit of 10 minutes. The original video is 12:42 long and you can see or download it from my website."

SoundLab Overview

YouTube via YpsiSynth

"A few things and some with the SoundLab.

I am building 5 like this one, a black faced, 3 white faced, and a black yellow (EDP WASP look)
faced.

This is built into a Polycase ABS case. Runs off an AC adapter (included).
Im very impressed with the tracking of these Synths when Tuned correctly.
Mostly all 1% resistors used throughout. Nice smooth 24mm Alpha pots
Give a great feel to the knob action.

Casio Electricity

YouTube via mysteritmo
"This video was an experiment to see how OMD's Electricity would sound using only two small Casio keyboards and a drum machine. All keyboard parts are played live - no sequencing - since neither one of them have any type of sync. The video is very basic as it is my very first try at making one. Hope you enjoy!

Building a phaser part 4 - 6

"This is a simple project - i will build a clone of the Small Stone phaser as a floor effects unit with some modifications to add some more control over the sound.

Dur to the simplicity of this project, i decided to document all steps, starting with making the PCB for it, ending with the tests. So not all videos appear at once, but i think this should happen within 3 weeks or so. Make sure to come back and see if new parts appeared with the time.

This is part 4 showing mechanical work on the enclosure."
