Appendage Touch Ribbon Sequencer and Klee: Controlling Synced VCO

"This patch uses the Appendage Sequencer to control two VCOs - one master and one slave. The Appendage Bend Voltage is also patched to the V/Oct input of the slave VCO. The Bend voltage is also patched into the Min/Max function of my mixer - bend voltages below 0V open a VCA that controls an LFO that is patched to the pitch control of the Sequencer, allowing the LFO to modulate the frequency of both VCOs.

The TFS voltage is used to open a VCA that controls the level of an LFO controlling filter cutoff - the farther apart two points of pressure are, the more the VCA is opened, allowing more modulation to the filter. The Appendage is in voltage mode, so that voltage is non-linear.

The Klee Sequencer is processing a one bit pattern, which is controlling a VCO and the resonant MS-20 clone filter, which provides a sequenced backing for the video."

They should have packaged them up and made the 808's evil twin.."

The vocoder section, for me, is the best ever made. Then you have the greatest sounding analogue string synth ever, together with the incredible analogue human voice section. Add in the Roland stereo Chorus Ensemble section and you have one of the most beautiful sounding analogue synthesizers Roland ever built. It's crazy good...The vocoder also has an external input so you can feed anything into it such as a drum machine for example. Estimates vary about how many were of these were made. 1500-2000 seems the popular number quoted. Very rare Euro power 220/240 volt version. This is the MKII version"

the mopho being a sequencer, the 1st sequence going to the 1st oscillator, going up in octaves, then down...

the 2nd sequence going to the 2nd oscillator going up in 5th's,

slightly different lengths between the 2 sequences,

i'm controlling the pitch of both oscillators or just changing one of them... swapping between the 2-pole and 4-pole filters, changing the clock (sometimes twice as fast) and of course the cutoff / resonance of the filter...

the juno 6 being just it's beautiful synthy self...

the music was recorded on friday 1st may, the sky footage was shot a week later on the 8th may, only an hour or so before my brand new baby niece charlotte was born..."
