restoring an analog synth part 1 from amsonx on Vimeo.

"this is the first video about this italian synth, the was come with a italian electronic magazine in 1978. Our goals are the synth's complete restore and later some circuit bends. apologize for the bad A/V quallity but i've used a cell phone" via ams on the forum. I'm not getting an audio on this one.

VINTAGE ANALOG drum machine 1970s

via this auction

Anyone know the make and model of this one? via the auction: "vintage drum machine that I believe to be from the 1970s. I have seen similar units made by UNIVOX, but this one appears to have no name on it."

Update via Qwave in the comments: "This is a Keio (pre KORG) Mini Pops 3. I used to own one. Not the Jarre sound. So I sold it again.

Here it is with the original type label on top of the machine: link

It appears to be fallen of on the one in the auction. The hole for fixing it to the unit is seen."

How to Make a Noise

"The free edition of How to Make a Noise was first released in early 2005. Since then the book has been completely revised and updated, and is available in hard copy format from leading book retailers such as Amazon, see the links at the foot of the page.

When compared with this free version, in the printed version you'll find:

* more content, including four refills
* more graphics (and in addition, all of the existing graphics in the free edition have been completely redrawn in the printed version), and
* more sounds (over 300 patches are featured in the updated book)."

You can find the free version here and the full version on Amazon

"DIY fractal synth uses a PIC chip and very little else to make some cool sounds. Open source project is found on the web in electro-music.com forums. Someday I'll improve the cardboard box!"

Overdubbing Solo Chamberlin Voice to the Mazurka

"Yesterday was a really good day in the studio. Me and Matti continued our work for the Theatre production of Bröderna Lejonhjärta (by Astrid Lindgren, the author of the Pippi books) for Stadsteatern. Yesterday we started working on the song part. All of these little films are merely snapshots of the work we are doing...In the end it is all up to the director to chisel out the moods and sounds he wants.

Yesterday we recorded two song Ideas one is for the Guldtuppen scene which is a sort medieval bar setting. The idea was to do a more rowdy cirkusy thing...So naturally we used the Optigan this time we pulled out a fairly rare one...The Mazurka disc from the Polka time package.

If you are curious about the studio please mumble by the homepage for more info and pics, booking and stuff. www.roth-handle.nu It has been a while since it was updated but there might be some bits and pieces of info you might find interesting.

Thanks for watching,

Mattias"

"Just some trippy video junk and sounds by Quantum-Source. Done with magix music maker, RS7000 sounds, and an old recording of some altered mp3 player plugins. Enjoy!"

Yesterday we recorded two song Ideas. This one is for the main character Skorpan. The main beat and chord sequence were recorded using a casio sk-1 that I bought in june at a fleamarket at a farm.

Simply, it is another squarewave noisebox, or so I thought. It features 4 oscillators, some for audio, some LFO for controlling various parameters such as pitch and Attack/Release but the feature that gets me is the Power Starve. This knob emulates a dying battery by limiting the power going into the box making all the functions change personalities. It creates wonderful subtle noises in the background I've never heard before anywhere else. Yes, its made of wood and its 97 British Pounds which equals about 150 bucks. That's a deal considering you can have this process external audio."
