Doing Electro Harmonix Voice box treatments on the electribe drummachine

YouTube via RothHandle
"A interesting yet exhausting day in the studioI started out having about ten music teachers for a visit in the studio. Occasionally I have school classes coming by but this was the first time I had teachers which obviously felt kind of oddThey know so much more about these things than I do.

After the visit I actually sat down for myself with a cup of Coffee for a while and read some of a Tom Waits book I picked up a while back.

After the break I wanted to try some experiments with the Electro Harmonix Voice box pedalSo this is todays batch of videos. After these experiments I headed out for some Japanese lunch and then off to Alar Suurnas wonderful Shortlist studio to listen to a fresh mix of Nanook of the Norths track Get to work. It didnt get finished today but it is already sounding very promising.

This film was shot at Roth Händle studios in Sundbyberg, Stockholm, Sweden. This is where I spend my days producing and recording albums and artists. If you are curious to find out more about the studio please drop by www.roth-handle.nu It hasnt been updated in ages but you might find some stuff of interest there."

"Technox multitimbral synth out of the house Quasimidi.

The Technox is a specialist on the techno / dance area 19 "Racksynthesizer with 512 single sounds and 24 drum kits.
In performance mode can be up to 4 superimposed single sounds.
It might include 50 RAM and 50 ROM presets are available.

(There are still 5 performance sets, ie 5x 50 sounds on CD and several demo songs as a midi file for delivery)

The single sounds are organized into groups for better overview. This facilitates direct access lot. 85 Variations Bass, 95 lead sounds, 93 pads, etc.

Through the integrated arpeggiator sound programs can be true to life. In particular, the areas in the Performance mode will benefit.
I must say these have to last me very much. You can basically take a chord, a little twist on Modwheel and you're floating in the "Trance Ambient Heaven."

A device class that I should make a heavy heart. But I'm hardly on my hobby is collecting dust and Technox viiiiiiel too bad.

A few key data: 512 single sounds. 2 effect processors with 42 algorithms, low-pass filter with resonance, arpeggiator, Multi-Algorithm Sound Synthesis (MASS),
21 votes, 16 parts, terminals: MIDI in, MIDI out, MIDI Through, 2x 6,3 jack, 1x Footcontrol, AC.

Another thing at the end: The drum sounds are the madness. They come from the quasar and you can hear! I have used them in many productions.

Waldorf Wave

full size image here
"One of the rarest and most sought-after synths, the Waldorf Wave . This example (serial number 101) is a two-owner machine, not very much used at all. It is 32-voice, **now with OS 1.803! - the owner says 'so, there is the choice between 1.68 or 1.803. of course, you can always go back to 1.7, too. but i guess one would want to stick with 1.803 as it fixes several bugs and allows to read and analyse wav files and has the possibility to synchronize the LFOs to midi'.)**, the original manual, and a recently-bought flightcase - very useful (almost essential) with a precious instrument of this size and weight. The pneumatic struts (a universal fault with Waves after this number of years) are being newly replaced before the auction finishes. The display is well readable - see photo - though it isn't as bright as when it was new. The instrument is in/near Paris. VEMIA could collect, and deliver to northern France / Belgium economically, or bring it back to England, and then deliver or ship. (Or of course because of the flightcase it could be shipped direct from Paris to further afield!) The battery was changed very recently; and everything works as it should and sounds great. There were only 150 of these ever made, so as well as being a joy to play (great user interface, silky rich sounds) it is also highly collectable!"
